2023 System explained below, 2024 changes coming soon:
Our schedule consists of 6 events that in total, will determine an overall series champion for each category. Of these 6 events, 5 are standard Cross-Country races and 1 is a 12-hour event. For calculation of the season standings, we will take your best 4 of 5 regular XC events (drop the lowest score) and then provide a 20 point *bonus* for all riders who compete in the 12-hour event, regardless of team size or category. This will be a bonus, to your total score, even if 20 points would be your lowest point earning event.
The points table the will be used for the series is listed below. In addition to the points awarded per placing, we will also assign a bonus to all riders that is equal to the number of riders who started your category. This will give a bonus for riders who place well at events with higher turnout. More people = more points! An example is listed below.
Tie Breaker:
Riders who are tied in the individual ranking have their positions decided by who has the most overall first place finishes or, if still tied, the most second place finishes, etc.; through tenth place, and, if still tied, the highest placing in the last individual race of the series that both riders competed against one another.
