BGMC Virtual Bike Challenge Outline
Looking to try for the bike challenges? Here is where you will find some details about each challenge and what the reward is for each. Remember, you can get awards for each sub category. You're responsible for uploading your miles and being honest. Only count activities inside the challenge timeframe. No retroactive credits allowed! Now, go ride!
Cycling Challenges
Total Mileage:
- 3000 Mileage Achievement - 1500 Mileage Achievement - 500 Mileage Achievement |
Climbing Awards:
- Everest (29,029ft, one ride) - 100K Climbing Achievement - 50K Climbing Achievement |
Single Ride Achievements:
- Dos Hundred! (200 miles, one ride) - Solo Century (100 miles, one ride) - 50 Miles (50 miles, one ride) |
Total Mileage Awards
You can earn only one of these achievements.
3000 Mileage Achievement:
If you can ride 3000 total miles during the challenge you will be awarded a laser cut wooden medal stating your achievement! Miles that count towards this can be on road, trail, or trainer, but all have to be completed during the timeframe of the event.
1500 Mileage Achievement:
If you can ride 1500 total miles during the challenge you will be awarded a laser cut wooden medal stating your achievement! Miles that count towards this can be on road, trail, or trainer, but all have to be completed during the timeframe of the event.
500 Mileage Achievement:
If you can ride 500 total miles during the challenge you will be awarded a laser cut wooden medal stating your achievement! Miles that count towards this can be on road, trail, or trainer, but all have to be completed during the timeframe of the event.
3000 Mileage Achievement:
If you can ride 3000 total miles during the challenge you will be awarded a laser cut wooden medal stating your achievement! Miles that count towards this can be on road, trail, or trainer, but all have to be completed during the timeframe of the event.
1500 Mileage Achievement:
If you can ride 1500 total miles during the challenge you will be awarded a laser cut wooden medal stating your achievement! Miles that count towards this can be on road, trail, or trainer, but all have to be completed during the timeframe of the event.
500 Mileage Achievement:
If you can ride 500 total miles during the challenge you will be awarded a laser cut wooden medal stating your achievement! Miles that count towards this can be on road, trail, or trainer, but all have to be completed during the timeframe of the event.
Climbing Awards
You can earn Everest plus one of the other two achievements.
Everest Achievement:
This is a single ride achievement! This means that in one effort you have to climb 29,029 Ft! You can win this award as well as the one of the other two listed climbing achievements. If you're able to crank your way to 29,029Ft you'll be awarded a decal stating your achievement!
100,000 Ft Climbing Achievement:
At the end of the challenge if your total is at or above 100K Ft of climbing you will get a laser cut wooden medal to add to your collection, showing off your achievement. Vertical gain that counts toward this can be on road, trail, or trainer, but all have to be completed during the timeframe of the event.
50,000 Ft Climbing Achievement:
At the end of the challenge if your total is at or above 50K Ft of climbing you will get a laser cut wooden medal to add to your collection showing off your achievement. Vertical gain that counts toward this can be on road, trail, or trainer, but all have to be completed during the timeframe of the event.
Everest Achievement:

Single Ride Achievements
You can earn only one of these achievements. If you do all three separate, cool, but we will only award you for the top achievement.
Dos Hundred:
Ride 200 miles in a sinlge effort to win this award! If you do you'll be presented with a laser cut wooden medal to go with your collection. A ride to count towards this can be on road, trail, or trainer, but all have to be completed during the timeframe of the event and as a single effort.
Solo Century:
Ride 100 miles in a single effort to win this award! If you do, you'll be presented with a laser cut wooden medal to go with your collection. A ride to count towards this can be on road, trail, or trainer, but all have to be completed during the timeframe of the event and as a single effort.
50 miles:
Ride 50 miles in a single effort to win this award! If you do, you'll be presented with a decal to throw on something and show off how strong your legs are during COVID-19! A ride to count towards this can be on road, trail, or trainer, but all have to be completed during the timeframe of the event and as a single effort.
